Research paper proposal

I choose the film to do my research. The film is made in 2005.

Purpose statement:

The purpose of this case study will be to develop the game theory in the marriages displayed by the female characters in Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice.

My research question: What does the game theory mean in Pride and Prejudice?

My sub questions:

1. What is the game theory?

2. How do the behaviors the female characters have in the Pride and Prejudice reflect the game theory in the marriages?

3. Why the game theory exists in the marriages at that time?

I plan to divide the body of my research paper into three parts.

Firstly, I will talk about what the game theory is. To know about the conception, I will read the book named Jane Austin, Game Theorist. This book can give me many references and enlightens me to do further research.

Secondly, I will watch the film carefully and find where the film reflects the theory.

Thirdly, I will search the reason why the game theory will exist in the marriages. I will talk about the background of the film or the book or Jane Austin.

I have not decided yet to write the reasons why the game theory is not common in the marriages nowadays or not.
